The matrimonial covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life, is by its nature ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring; this covenant between baptized persons has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament.

Couples contemplating marriage must contact the Parish for an appointment at least NINE MONTHS IN ADVANCE. The diocesan guidelines for marriage preparation must be fulfilled. It is presumed that, for marriage to be celebrated in the Church, one of the partners is a practicing member of the Roman Catholic Tradition. Church of the Blessed Sacrament is excited to have our couples use the One in Christ program for their marrage preparation. This seminar encompasses the majority of their marriage preparation work and is supplimented by a couple's FOCCUS Inventory and review. Couples may also be paired with a sponsor couple that will pray with them and be a "real life" example of Catholic marriage for questions and advice as they prepare fo marriage.
