Man of the Shroud Exhibit

From February 27-March 6, 2023, Church of the Blessed Sacrament will have the privilege of hosting the "Man of the Shroud Touring Exhibit" from the National Shrine of St. Maximillian Kolbe at Marytown in Libertyville, Illinois. 

According to the Shrine, 'The Shroud of Turin has long been venerated by the faithful and is believed by many to be the burial cloth of Jesus of Nazareth. The Shroud is one of the most scientifically studied religious icons in history. As science has progressed, so has the speculation on how the image of the crucified man of the Shroud was made."

The exhibit presents scientific, historical, and forensic study findings with photographs and illustrations. The exhibit includes a full-length replica of the Shroud as well as 60 information panels detailing the history and science of the Shroud.
